Radiator mounting and cooling Question

so with my s-10 clip swap I am ending up with the radiator pretty high up, (cheapy Alum. 19x22 universal) and I built this cover/hold down to try and hide some of the radiator, about 3" of it sticks up, but i am hoping it will have enough air flow from below, I am also planning on running and electric fan but was wondering if anyone that has a similar setup has had any cooling problems with. the pictures are a little fuzzy they are from my cell, Also here is a shot of it at ride height.
Let me know what you think,
Thanks

Re: Radiator mounting and cooling Question

This is the same thing i went through on my 49. I have the same 19x22 radiator. I mounted a electric fan on the grill side of my radiator, and a 15inch flex fan that i cut down a little. With a 180 thermostat, both fans running all the time. My truck runs 180-185 all day long. It warms up on the real hot days while sitting in traffic, but what vehicle doesn't.

D-man, did you start with just a flex fan and then add the elec. Or have you always run both. I was hoping to just run one elec fan I don't have enough room to run the stock fan clutch.

Apache: It's just an nv3500 from an 05 4.8l , they get mixed reveiws as far as holding up to abuse but im not too worried i want a cruiser that I can occasionally pull my jet boat with, not a hot rod, and the price was right. But I built my trans tunnel with extra room in case I grenade it and have to put in a t56 or after market trans.

Re: Radiator mounting and cooling Question

I started with just the electric, and it got a little warm. Which is why i added the flex fan.
