newbie with Question

Hi all,i just recently picked up a 69 C10 stepside.the guy i got it from was the second owner in australia and he had no idea of what has been done to the truck suspension wise other than it was lowered.
how can i tell if it has dropped spindles in the front and to what extent?
it has a mildly worked 350/turbo 350 and 12 bolt diff,disc brake conversion on front.
original red color with 20"x9''rims wearing 255x35 tires.
Was orginally purchased by the Colorado state uni , Fort Collins.
still has the warranty and protecto plate with it.
will endeavour to get photo up asap

A normal spindle should be about centered between the upper and lower a-arms. How fa off center towards the upper arm will give you an idea on how much the drop is from your spindle (if any). I have no idea how to tell how much spring drop there is without comparing the two springs side by side (or looking at the box the dropped springs came in ).

Thanks lockdoc,i am pretty happy with it. WE went on a cruze today and i got to say mine was a standout with the other trucks here.

I looked at my spindles and its more to the lower arm,definately not centered.i know its been lowered by springs(by how much i dont know)

Welcome to the board, I would guess that is a 3-4 drop and stock spindles, if they are drop spindles they generally have a name cast into them. Looks like a fine ride.

DOMEIER from the original paperwork i got with the truck it had two more owners in the states and then come to australia where i am the third owner in aust.

On stock spindles, the wheel center is just above the lower A-arm. Drop spindles it will be closer to half-way between the A-arms
