Painting the grill shell

I'm looking at painting the grill shell on my 72 but wanted to see some pics of painted shells first. Anybody got any?

Thanks,
Ron

Not a '72, but here is a '69 grille I did just to see how it would look.

I painted around the headlight bezels and then painted the inner grille black as well.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Re: Painting the grill shell

I was thinking of painting the whole shell gloss black, with my blue truck.

I like the look of the blacked out grill but was thinking of making a polished stainless insert instead of the plastic.
