I wonder if those will fit over front disk on my 1966.

If you have 73 calipers i dont think they will fit. They hit the outer edge of the caliper.

Re: 15x6 6 lug steelies

Actually i think they would fit. They came off of a squarebody 73-87 so i think they would fit over the Disk Calipers.

Are you sure? What's the difference in these and http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=476651 besides the price, of course. Is it the .25 inch of backspace difference or that these are 6 in instead of 8?

I'd like to be #2 in line behind ol skool chevy if they'll fit a disc conversion. Thanks.

Re: 15x6 6 lug steelies

The only reason I put a .25 difference is because I can't tell the exact backspacing so I'm just ballparking it. I'll pull the numbers off them torrow to see what year they are. And I think you are #1 in line. Ol skool never replied to me so your first in line.

OK. Let me know. I'd really like to make sure they'll fit with my disk conversion before dropping $100 on them. Thanks.

Re: 15x6 6 lug steelies

You can tell by the rear of the wheel, if it's more square then angled where it goes to the center then it's for front drums. If more of an angled then it's for disc. Hope that helps you two figure it out.

Re: 15x6 6 lug steelies

It Looks to me like they would fit over a disk. the well in the center as you can see in the picture is the narrow kind and the numbers that i pulled off are k184 XX with JJ on the inside.

Yes they do look like they will fit over disk front, by the pics above. Maybe I worded it wrong, if the bend on the inner wheel is closer to the center piece (or right at it) it will fit over disks. The drum style have the angle starting further from the center piece. I would have taken them but the back spacing was not right for me. Hope this helps you figure it out.

Re: 15x6 6 lug steelies

Thanks for your help thriftmaster. Went and looked at them again. the bend or curve starts immediately after the center tabs or whatever you would call them. and by what i understand the 8 stands for last digit year. so im gonne say they are off of a 78 chevy. written in the middle of the rim says "off mid seventies chevy 4x4" so that makes it more logical.
