Door Jamb Switch help

I bought a set of door jamb switches because mine were falling apart and my dome light wasnt working right. The wires were ate up so that leads me to my question. Where to I wire the door jamb switches to? there wasnt enough left for me to determine where they go.

Re: Door Jamb Switch help

as far as I know the 60-66 dome light was only controlled by the light switch.
never in the door jamb

that said, you should be able to splice them into the fuse box, use the cigarette lighter tab, this always has power, ignition , or not, the dome light is the oarnge and white wire

Re: Door Jamb Switch help

I wired mine up using the details from this link. You’ll need the exact switch specified – Wells part number SW98 which I found at a local Auto Zone store. No other local parts house carried this exact switch, and all of the cross reference part numbers were too short.
