Re: Lets see some Wood bed floors
If you already have saws and a router table try making it. Worse case is it comes out so bad you buy one and are out the cost of the wood. Buying a pre-cut bed wood set is kind of expencive and then you'd have to cut on that to make it fit your truck anyway.

Re: Lets see some Wood bed floors
Here's mine. My floor was raised 3" due to my stepped up frame. I also added mini tubs to allow for 10" wide rims in the back. Other than that I tried to make it look as stock as possible. The wood I bought off EBay. The Bed strips from Mar-K.

Re: Lets see some Wood bed floors
I purchased the wood, had the wife stain and varnish it and I buffed it out.

LDO - No stain? Just polyurethane?
Renegade, Man, that looks niiice. What stain color/brand if you know? Ordinarily I don't like the old style diamond plate bumpers but yours looks nice and I like that the backup lights are IN it. A nice, genuine "truck" look. Can we see the truck from the side and front? |

Re: Lets see some Wood bed floors
Dan,
Yes, I stained it. A light 'honey' stain. If you need the exact name and brand no problem. I can get that for you in the a.m.. right now I'm entertaining a case of Coronas....

Re: Lets see some Wood bed floors
Thank you. Light Honey, huh? I keep notes of things I find on the board for later use. Your color is going on the list. Say high to the Corona boys for me!

As a side note, I stained my wood then used automotive clear coat (sanded between coats) to finish it off. Marc

Re: Lets see some Wood bed floors
Thanks for all of the copliments...My wife was happy to see them.
The stain that I used is Old Master's Crimson Fire. I purchased a kit from Horkey's that had everything in it. I also coated the bottom of the wood with POR-15. Dan-Look at the link on my signature, more pictures posted there.
