65 chevy 3/4 ton bed hardware bolts?

I need new hardware to mount the bed to the frame. originals were really rusty and had to be ground down. I would like to go to the hardware store for bolts and I need to know the length, shaft diameter and the thread pitch.

If anybody could help me out it would be greatly appreciated and it sure will make my day easier.

Thanks

Re: 65 chevy 3/4 ton bed hardware bolts?

The size of those carriage bolts is 3/8"-16, and I believe the length should be 3-1/2", but I am not positive on the length. It would be easy to figure the length needed. Just measure the height of your bed crossills. Then add 3/4" for the thickness of the bed wood, and then add aprox. another 3/4" for the nut and flat washer. That should get you the length you need. There is room for some extra length under there, and you can always trim off the excess if you like.
