Question Original paint color for 1967?

I picked up a tailgate froma 67 CST, and I was wondering if this is an original color for 1967? The paint looks original to me, just have not seen many dark blue. I added the chrome handle, by the way. Thanks in advance.

Looks like it could be 511 dark aqua poly(metallic dark blue).

Re: Original paint color for 1967?

It looks to me like it was/is the 508 (ditzer 12409) Dark Blue. The tailgate appears, in the pictures, to have been touched up above the trim strip. Below and inside don't look metalic. Here is a '69 in Dark Blue same codes numbers. How do the ends look?

That looks like the same color my truck came originally which was Dark Blue. Picture in my slid and buildthread. Only difference is mine is pretty faded

Re: Original paint color for 1967?

thanks guys, i am satisfied the paint is original. below the trim and inside have not been hit with rubbing compound yet, so it looks dull. the metallic really came out with a little compound and some elbow grease along the top. the gate is laser straight not even a ding on it.
