As far as I know. I can't recall ever seeing one that said Super Custom. I'm not clear on how things worked once the Sierras and Sierra Grandes came out. I know those are equivalent to Cheyennes & Cheyenne Supers and Super Custom = Custom Deluxe,which is the same as Custom in 69/70 Chevys. So,Chevys in 71/72 were Custom,Custom Deluxe,Cheyenne,and Cheyenne Super. But were the base 71/72 GMCs called Customs or no name,like prior years? You see the fender emblems that just say V-Six or V-Eight. That's a good question to ask in the message board that I keep forgetting to ask. But,I believe mine could be for a Super Custom. The SPID is faded.I can see It's not a '72 and can make out Custom Comfort & Conv,which would be a Super Custom in 70/71,once the Sierra Grande came out.
