Do flex?

Had to change a flat the other day and when I jacked up the truck, it had massive chassis flex. And to get started I lifted on lower a arm not chassis. anybody else have this issue. not trying to make a g machine. but this much twist is torque loss at the wheels.

These old trucks were built to flex If I drop my Longhorn into a "cloverleaf", that states 25mph....runnin 55 goin in, & 75 coming out. turnin
right, but steerin left....she is long, & she slides slow & easy(take 2 lanes totally crossed up), & I have been there crazyL

The frame is built like a ladder. It is easy to twist. And triangles to make it stiffer.

Almost all ladder frame vehicles flex.They usually use some of that flex to absorb road fluctuations.So when you see a drag racer that doesn't run that quick but has a roll cage,that's why.They use the cage to create rigidity in the frame.Adding triangles will stop "racking" but not actual flex.Unless they are triangulated to help strengthen and solidify the cage.
