Just watched a pretty d@mn funny movie called "Lone Star State of Mind". He had a 71 that they showed quite often throughout the movie. The movie was worth watching too and not just for the truck.

Randy, in the movie ground hog day, you should at least mention the one that went off of the cliff was an engineless/trannyless hulk, and not the nice 71/72 that had been seen throught that scene.
Also watch the new gone in 60 seconds, I saw one in a pic durring the opening credits, a black 68 GMC, and then later when they were talking about Kip getting kidnapped, a white daulei with a flat bed in the back ground. Watching a kids movie with my son, he paused it and backed it up (I wasn't paing attention) when he saw about 4 or 5 of them...the movie was Snow Dogs.

Chainsaw has a 71-72 at the end
Ed TV
Original Gone in Sixty Seconds
Corvette Summer
Two Lane Blacktop
Gas Pump Girls
Cannonball

I'll think of more..

Yeah I saw Footloose today.

The gal used a board or baseball bat on the rig. But she only got all the headlights and the windshield. But they were all repaired by the end of the movie.

Looked like a 1/2 or 1 ton truck.

In the new Seether video the singer is walking through a small town and passes a shop where about three guys are working on a white 69-70 LWB fleet. It proably shows it 2 or 3 times.

Also, in the Dirty Harry movie "The Dead Pool" when dirty harry is entering or leaving a resterant (can't remember) there is a ochre/white '71-'72 in the background that is in SWEET condition, proably because it was brand new at the time, lol.

Also, i saw another movie, but can't remember the name, where this guy and his brother find a duffel bag of money in the Minnesota woods and end up killing a bunch of people. Anyway, the guy's brother drove a red '71 C20 in so-so shape, and he later rams in into a tree .

not a movie but... I watch the re-runs every day almost on Sci fi.. I keep seeing the same 69-70 chevy longbed fleet show up.. and blatantly show up.. its not in perfect condition but it musta been more than 10 years old at the time so..

the other day they were at a shooting range.. there was a 71-72 GMC 3/4 ton a 68 3/4 ton and this 69-70 1/2.. all were blue.. all were LWB fleets..

just the other day I was also watching battlestar gallactica and a 70 chevelle rolls by like its nothing..

I wonder which cars we'll be watching shows for in the future lol

Barbershop has a old chevy in it. It is where he goes back to the carshop to get his barbershop back for the second time when he opens the garage door there is a rusty old chevy truck, I think a 72.

hey adamls,

that 71 cheyenne was actually MY truck in "lonestar state of mind". i live in austin and the assistant director flagged me down in a parking lot and asked to use my truck in the movie.

the rental fee they paid more than covered the original cost of the truck!!!
