steering wheel won't come off!!!!
I need to get my old steering wheel off, but it won't come!!!
whadda I do, I got a puller and have tried beating on it with it under tension. I tried heat, but I almost set the truck on fire. what else can I try?

Spray it with penatrating oil. Put the puller back on it, and while it is under a good load, leave the nut on the shaft, just enough to cover the end of the shaft, then while it is under a load with the puller, get a big hammer, and hit right on the nut. It should move. Once you get it off, before you put it back on, use some antisiese on the shaft, so next time it will come on off.

I am gonna go get some penetrating oil, hopefully I won't have to get out the portaband!

Strongest puller: Use grade 8 bolts, tighten up, hit center of puller.

I used a regular puller, and tore the he$$ out of it getting my old one off, but it was trash anyway..
