Short bed frame

I am looking to swap frames. I have 56 chevy 3600 standard bed. What frame should I look for to do a short bed frame swap? I would like to make a nice driver with as few mods as possible.

Re: Short bed frame

Why not just shorten your frame and upgrade the suspension?

If you were in the PNW my buddy has a 56 shortie frame with a Trans Am front subframe under it that he wants to sell. At least I think he still has it. It costs me ten bucks worth of gas every time I make a trip down to his place in the truck so I don't get down there very often. Unless your frame is junk to begin with I'd stay with it and modify it.
