alright guys finally going to start my build
first let me give you some info on the truck its a 90 chevy cheyenne 4.3 5 speed.
first my plans for the motor are a rebuild.i love the 4.3's one of my fav motors i ordered my latati voodoo cam and carb intake, distrubetor, fuel regualtor, and elderbrock 650 cfm carb. im going to do the silverado front end on it and lower it 2/4 inches. and i want to try something new with the rear of the truck i took my bed off today and i dont want to put another bed back on it or a flatbed. so i was thinking of trying something new im going to put 14g sheetmetal and bolt it to the frame were the bed use to be mounted i want to make it removeable and make a custom roll pan and i want to put some kind of wheel wells on like a semi. any body seen this done before its hard to describe it,but i think it would look pretty cool. anyone have pics please post. i will also post pics of my truck later on today. |

Love the fendered flatbed idea! You gonna use something like trailer fenders?

Re: alright guys finally going to start my build
yea i was thinking trailer fenders or single axle semi fenders, and i found a awesome place online were i can get my stainless steel from you give them the exact measurements and they will cut it for you and ship it so i dont mess up the finish.
here is there link they do all kind of stainless steel http://www.cut2sizemetals.com/ cant wait to get this going so does anyone no how to clean the frame without sand or media blasting it? so guy tried to paint over everything |
