sheet metal

im sure this question has been asked numerous times but i cant seem to find any answers on here. Who makes the best sheet metal? Specifically floor pans and inner/outer rockers. I heard LMC has some poor quality stuff. Just want to know what you guys think

Re: sheet metal

goodmark is very good. Ive not had any problems with the stuff I bought from Tri Pro automotive or Chris Lucas ( CaptKaos) here Id try to avoid LMC and ebay like the plague

Re: sheet metal

And yet another repop sheetmetal thread I have to follow. From what I understand you ain't gonna find good repop sheetmetal in one place. You'll have to get the good metal from several places. I understand Tri-Plus has some good stuff. I'd never pick on old Rusty C10 but I have heard Goodmark refered to as "Badmark". ALL the patch panels are questionable from what I have gathered so far. Some panels are too thin a gauge and some don't line up correctly. Its hard to see a guys pictures in his build of new patch panels tacked in with relief cuts to make them fit. Believe me, I wish someone would put all the confusion to bed. I think its best to find who makes the best panel and not for someone who has a decent line.

Re: sheet metal

Junk yards have the real thing. take a generator a grinder saws all and chop away. any thing aftermarket lacks quality.

Re: sheet metal

Weather and junkyards don't mix here in the midwest. It is nearly impossibly to find a solid panel in any yard around me

Wes seems to be an active member and a great person. I only hope he would steer you toward the good stuff and away from the bad.
