The only thing i know about HID lights is that i want them. What all would I have to buy to put them in my 72? How much will it cost? how much would it cost to have it professionally done?

Bosch 6024 housings for H4 bulbs $49.95 free shipping

6000K Bi-Xenon HID kit $45.99 free shipping

I had the HID lamps for a while but went back to halogen H4 bulbs and relays. I also had some of the cheaper housings off of ebay but found that the Bosch housings have much better optics.

Don't know how much someone would charge you to install, My guess would be $100+

Re: HID lights

If you're going to install HID's on your '72- don't just grab some cheap or even not so cheap H4 housings and slap the HID bulbs in them. Sure they'll be bright as hell, but the light will be scattered all over the place....most likely pissin' off your fellow motorists along the way. Do some research, and invest in some high quality 7" projector housing that are specifically designed to focus the high intesity beam correctly. If you do that you'll keep the Po-Po off your case and not offend other drivers. Expect to pay between $700 and $1000 for the housings, bulbs, igniters, ballasts and relays. Paying somebody to install them is probably unnecessary- it's pretty basic wiring, but having them properly aimed may be something you want a dude with the correct tools to do.
