Box floor and bed sides welded together as one?
I'm contemplating welding the steel floor in my Longhorn to the bed sides to give it a more finished look, and it'll be faster to do the steel bed floor conversion as well due to some issues my steel floor has. Here's my dilemma now. Seeing how this truck will have a steel floor and this truck will be used for real work, what do you guys feel about the box sides and floor being all welded together? I'm liking the idea of line-x'ing the entire inside after the box is painted and then the box will be done for good. The only real down side is if I ever need to replace a box side it'll be a real big PITA. But then again, it isn't like I can't just patch it or skin it like newer trucks. So what do you guys think about it?

I would have the same concerns. You never know when someone is going to run into you. Then What?

Re: Box floor and bed sides welded together as one?
First of all, they better run! I have thought of that and either way I'd probably have to fix my box either way because Longhorn beds are getting harder to find.
