Re: 48 chevy pickup body to s10 frame
I dont think there is anything written in stone on where the body should sit on the frame. What i did and i believe most people are doing is just get the body on the s-10 frame where you like it (height wise) and just center the body side to side and the front wheels in the fenders. Something you might want to take into consideration is that the lower you mount the body to the frame the bigger the tranny hump / drive shaft tunnel is going to be. Here is a few pics of my '49 sittin on an s-10 that i'm working on.

Mine is on a '85 S10 no bags and I placed pieces of 4x4 blocks between the cab and frame to mock up my mounts.
Here's some shots of my mounts. |

Re: 48 chevy pickup body to s10 frame
My cab is around 3 1/2 inches of the frame. As for suspension i'm running a 9 inch ford with a 4-link on bags in the rear and 2" blazer spindles in front with 13" rotors and air bags. I'm not sure how to link you to my build thread but you can search it by using my forum name (rollinrooster)
