New Member from South Africa
Hi All
I have recently bought my first Chev Truck, my late Father owned a 1972 Cehv C30 long wheel base and had to sell it sometime back. Ever since then I wanted a Chev truck and I finally found one, needs some work but yeah very do-able. It is a 1 owner truck from new (1970 C10 Fleetside - V8) and has been standing for 3-4 years, not much rust etc. Needs some serious tlc and definitely need to remove that hideous canopy that the owner fitted. I have attached 2 images for now.... I hope to get all the help I can from the forum and fellow members. |

Re: New Member from South Africa
Thanks and lol yeah!!! Definitely coming off. I went over to see the truck again over the weekend and the prev owner showed me a brochure he kept from GM in SA with the specifations and details of the C10's.....it was nostalgic.... I am going to take that brochure and have it laminated.......

Re: New Member from South Africa
Hi Guys.
I have been a little quite on the forum and have run into some setbacks with the Chev. The owner passed on and this has left some setbacks as the C10 is now managed by the estate/bank. I spoke to the owner's wife and she advises to give them a few months and hopefully I will be able to get the truck in few months. I cant wait. I will send further updates soon as I receive the truck then I am going to be posting a lot and needing a lot of help. Zubz |

Re: New Member from South Africa
Welcome to the forum!
I hope you work something out with the estate and get the truck. I spent some time in Johannesburg a few years back, and Chevrolet trucks were really scarce. I only saw one, and one Corvette. Both owned by the same guy.
