All I want for Christmas is a Garage!
Not one of those temporary deals for the back yard, but a real, honest to goodness G-A-R-A-G-E, big enough to set the bed and the cab aside so I can spend the winter cleaning up the frame, which I can do for next to nothing. Maybe a wood stove in the corner for heat too...
How about it, Santa? You hook me up, I'll paint the truck red and name it Rudolph. I HATE puttin' the cover on this thing! |

I feel for ya! I don't have a ton of room, but at least it's enclosed. Hope to do as you planned... work on the frame.

Re: All I want for Christmas is a Garage!
The 70 something year old one car garage I have would fit in one side of that 24x28 and there would be room for another one in there with it. I think the original garage is 10x16 or 18 with a four foot extension on the front from when my grandparents bought a 69 Chev long bed and it wouldn't fit in the original garage. A 61 Chev wagon would fit after my grandfather notched some of the 2x4's in the front for the bumper to clear.
I need to do some serious rearranging this weekend so that I can get my frame in there and work on it. |

You could always build your own...
I put this garage together in 9 months (doing 95% of the work myself). 24X20 with 12' celings in the center. Broke ground in August adn finished her up in April the year following. |

Re: All I want for Christmas is a Garage!
Takes money to build anything. I'm drawing up plans to build a shop area on the back side of my garage but it probably won't be tall enough to put a lift in. Although the house I live in was my grandparents and my mother has control over the farm it is on undeeded trust land and has to be sold if something happens to her. But the rent is cheap and I am in the middle of an 80 acre field with a 400 ft driveway so that offsets things.
