When laid flat, mine is 15 5/8". 14 1/2" to "add oil" mark. 14" to "full" mark.

thanks for the measurements, is it from the handle or just the part that are covered by the casing/holder.

Question Re: 65 Chevy C10 Fleetside 230 IL6

ok, i'm confussed now. if I use your measurements, the dipstic is too long and its touching the oil pan's bottom. Another question, how long is the holder sticking out of the engine on the side, mine is 10cm's/3.94''.

I bought this 65 chevy with a broken dipstick and when I fixed it, it seems to be too long.

Mine is 14 1/4" from the rubber gasket to the tip. 12 3/4" to the full mark. The tube for the dipstick is 8". Hope this helps.

My dipstick holder is 7 1/2" from the block to the top.

Thanks Turkey/64Short, its seems that mine has been cut short or replaced with a short one, thanks for your input, I'll just adjust mine according to the oil capacity.
