What type of headers?

Getting ready to get headers for my 79 K10 with a big block. Looking for what type of headers you guys are running? Do you like them? Fit good? and so on?
Was looking at Hedman Elite. But don't know if anyone elses fit or work better.
Thanks, Brian

Re: What type of headers?

I am running Hooker Comp headers and love them. Hooker, Hedman, and D. Thorley are good. I've heard that D.T's are the best for a smog vehicle.

Re: What type of headers?

The type I am running is Tri-Y design. it's suppose to be more off idel torque but the one draw back is over 4500krpm their not so good. Non issue for me as I'm all lowend. They are D.Thorley's and fit is so so, drivers side hangs a bit low but they are nice and thick..there are other's that make Tri-Y types.
I do like the Hedmen Elite series, ran thoes on my 350..great header

Re: What type of headers?

I'm running Hedman 69090 headers on the 468ci BBC in my mud/trail truck, the thing I liked about the set I got is the ball and socket style collector, as a matter of fact that's the main reason I bought the ones that I did, although be it I would have bought the coated headers verses the un-coated set that I got if I would have thought about it
