69 C10 rear end swap with 71 C10 help please
I really need help on this one. I have a 69 C10 6 lug i want to convert to to 5 lug. My 69 has coil spring and the 71 donor has leafs.Can i simply swap out the axles and rotors or are there major mods involved with doing a complete swap out . thank for any help on this one

The 2 housings are different lengths which means the axles are different lengths as well.
To get a 5-lug rear bolt pattern, swap aftermarket replacement axles in place & use the 71-72 drums. Aftermarket axles will have zero wear (vs.40yrs of wear), will be stronger vs the 71's (different/better materials are now used), & would be an easy swap. The front disc stuff is a direct swap. Unbolt the parts from the donor & swap them over. The brake line tabs may not be in the exact same location but a little creativity solves that.
