radiator guard?

How many of you have this piece on your trucks? Is it original or after market? Or did someone just make this one? It's the piece bolted under the radiator, just like the new cars and trucks of today but there plastic.

Re: radiator guard?

That's factory for GMC, as both my '60 truck and '60 suburban have it installed. Not sure about the Chevy's but I imagine they have it too.

Re: radiator guard?

I've not seen them on the Chevy's only on the '60-'62 GMC's. I don't know if the '63-'66 GMC had them or not.

On my 64 Chevrolet K10 parts truck. Don't think it's original.

Re: radiator guard?

I'm bringing this one back up to the top, rather than start a new thread.
Does anybody have one of these splash guards for GMC's? How thick was the metal? How did it attach to the truck? What year GMCs were they on?

I'd like to put one under the front of my '62 K10. Anybody have one??

Re: radiator guard?

If no one has one maybe he can give you the measurements on it so you can make one?
