Well done. The truck looks awesome. You must have over $1500.00 into it .

havent weighed it yet, but im hoping 3500 or below. I cut alot of weight out, heater box, fenderwells, tubular control arms, took the wood out of the bed, glass hood, coil overs in the rear to replace the stock coils and shocks and cross member. im not even sure how much it weighed before, so i might be thinking optimistically. I am going to try and get it on a scale as soon as i get inspection stickers for it.

western star- I am pleading the fifth on how much I have into it, I dont even want to add it up, lets just say that its a little higher then 1500.00. I have spent more then that in destroyed transmissions alone.
1972chevyguy- my truck is funtion before form, so I could have polished a lot more if i had the patience and extra time. michael |

I was just having some fun as I can only imagine the $$ you have into your ride. I really want to put that puppy to the floor. She must fly.

racindego, how hard are you going to turn that motor? I notice you have 5.40 gear. What size tires are you running?

with the 5.40 gear and 30 inch tall slicks, im lookin at just under 8000 rpm trap speeds. This should work well with my 5300 stahl convertor and .730 lift roller. If this does not get me into the mid tens(my goal), It is gettin a set of 4.56's, 31 inch slicks and a fogger system and im gonna skip the 10"s all togethar.
or destroy it tryin michael |
