Need Headlight Upgrade Help

I've read the posts on the headlight upgrade but my question is for anyone who used the relay box out of the early 90's jeep. What did you do with all the other wires that are hanging out of the bottom. Did you remove/disconnect/tape the unused fuse and relay spaces. I'd like to do the upgrade but what to do with the extra wires have me stumped. I like the fuse/relay holder so i would like to use this type. Can you help me or at least get me pointed in the right direction. If it matters, I have a 67 Chevy Stepside.

Thanks

Re: Need Headlight Upgrade Help

I started out using one and wound up throwing that holder away and wiring straight onto the relays themselves. I bought the new locking blade spade clips and all but could never get them to lock and stay. Whenever I pushed the relay down it would pushed the spade clips out of the holders. I jacked with that damn thing for 3 afternoons, finally threw it all away, spade clips right on the relays and no more problems. I like the holder as well but it was sure alot of trouble. As far as the extra wires. I wired it just like all the diagrams show and it works well.

Re: Need Headlight Upgrade Help

Those don't sound like the same relays I read about. I just read a thread where they used relays from sundance's, shadow's and duster's from late 80's early 90's. But I don't know maybe they are the same. Here is the thread though if it helps any. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=188478
