Re: Any other Radiators
Someone told me any radiator that was 38 inches wide and 19 inches high would work.
But you need to measure what you have for space and be sure you aren't cutting into the inner fenders and that the hood will close. |

Re: Any other Radiators
I have a radiator that I would make you a deal on...
Its for a 65 but will work in a 60-66. It is an original Harrison, rebuilt with 3 core innerds, (apparently as heavy duty as you can get-according to my radiator man). Its pretty much the equivalent to a 4 core like for a 454 truck, so it cools excellent. It has never been used since it has been rebuilt.

Re: Any other Radiators
Thx guys. Called local shop and they said they try to fix mine for 67$, but if it didn't work i would be out the money so i think i rather put that toward something else than take the chance. Slowtruk that one looks a lot wider than the one i currently have. Let me do some thinking and shopping locally. If i can't come up w/something i will shoot you a pm. thx

Re: Any other Radiators
The radiator I pictured above has no numbers, just Harrison, and Craig manufacturing on the side. It is 25 1/2" wide side to side, and 22 1/2" tall top to bottom, vertical fins.
I have another radiator that came out of a 61 I think, butit isnt rebuilt like this one and feels like its half full of mud. It has a small nameplate on it that has numbers like you listed. As you can see in the pic is has a different shape, and is also vertical fins. Its measurements are 25 1/2" top to bottom and 23" wide. These are all full radiator measurements, not fins. Shoot, in Tyler? I'd bring this thing to you one day man. Nice little roadtrip, I can make it to Tyler in about 3 hours. lemme know what you find out

Re: Any other Radiators
The rebuilt radiator that Slowtruk has is typical for a '63-'66 truck with either a V8 or the 292 I6. The second one is typical of a '60-'62 radiator.
That rebuilt radiator for $125.00 is a real good deal! There are no radiators to be found in the wrecking yards these days that will fit these trucks without modifications to the inner fenders. At least not that I have found.

Re: Any other Radiators
For what it is worth, I bought a new radiator for my 66 for $175.00 from Rock Auto, cannot remember the numbers but someone on this site posted it up. Its a brand new 2 or 3 core , and it works great and did not cost a arm and a leg (250.00 was the least expensive one I had found locally. Kieth

Re: Any other Radiators
thx guys i figured it out last night. The 2nd one you posted is the one i have. Call it frankentruck. My VIN is from a 66, 64 rear end and a 60-62 radiator, guess my radiator support is out of a early 60's also. Ordered a champion one last night for 180$ total shipped and everything. Appreciate the help.
