Difference between a 75 front end and a 72?

I have a 75 front end underneath my 72 and the shock bracket on the control arm does not work with the location of the stud on the frame. Anyone else have an idea how to fix this or what have you all done? I know that a bunch of you have the newer front end under the older truck. Is there a shock relocator that will fix this? By the way I have a 2 inch spring drop on the front plus 3 inches in the spindle .

Don't know about the problem your having but why does your 72 have 75 suspension. 72's had factory disk brakes unless the truck used to be a 3/4 ton.

Re: Difference between a 75 front end and a 72?

I put it on there because I wanted polyurethane bushings and at the time they did not make those for a 72. Plus my control arms were super rusted. Looking back I would probably do things differently if I were doing again
