Carpeting

The PO installed a newer carpet, but unfortunately it is low quality and was for a high hump and I have the low one. Looking to put in new carpet.

Question for the masses...

Do you prefer custom carpet from a good upholsterer or a pre-molded carpet kit?

If you prefer kit and have experience with a kit you would recommend, I'd love to know who that is.

Thank you.

Re: Carpeting

In for opinions as well. i was looking at either stockinterior.com's carpet, or lmc's.

Re: Carpeting

Why do carpet at all, I installed sound insulation, then heat insulation, and ordered a full rubber mat that goes from the firewall to the back wall of the cab, I then installed a new stock rubber floor mat to keep the original look. It is quiet and easy to take care of. Kieth

Re: Carpeting

Now that presents another quandary. Has anyone purchased the Cab Door Bottom carpet set? If so, I'd like to see pictures.

Re: Carpeting

Mine has some sort of black shagg carpet to go with the diamond tuck seats and visor that I bought it with (very 70's). That said, I prefer a premolded, loop style. Short, tight and easy to clean. I'm not sure about the door bottoms though. My Impala had that with the courtesy lights in them... now you have me thinking of another upgrade!
