Swap the cab, and then swap the tranny tunnel from the '82 into the '83. The rest is bolt-on. That's all you need to do.

Re: auto to stick

Just cut along the lines on the hump then swap.

been there done that to a truck. Simple as He||

We put some caulk around the groove in the hump too when we swapped over the tunnel. We did that so we wouldn't have any fumes coming into the cab as well as it helps keep things quiet. Just use some self tappers in the original holes and you are golden.

Re: auto to stick

Swap pedal assembly, swap steering column, drill hole for the clutch linkage, swap (modify) gauge cluster to eliminate the auto indicator.

Re: auto to stick

im taking every off the 82 to put on the 83. the cab is better and the frame is straight. plus its a long bed. i was worried about the hump. i didnt know if i had to do a lot of work or not. but ive gotten alot of good info and found out its easier then i thought. the 83 i found out is a auto 4x4 and it has the same hump as the 82. i dont have the truck at my house, it at a friend and ive never look at it. so thank u guy for telling me what i had to do
