73-80 pick up, seat replacement?

I put my deposit down on my 1980 K30 Single Cab long bed 4x4- on brand new 40's Only thing she needs is a 454 in between those frame fails (perhaps a 12 valve later down the road? I'm hoping to drive this to Texas next year when I go to move) Trucks in great shape, one dent in the entire truck, faded paint, decent interior. Heres my issue. I'm 6'10, 330 pounds. I've been scavenging the internet looking for a replacement seat idea. So far I've read of people using square tubing to make a home made seat frame and bolt an aftermarket seat in, but all the seats I find are bulky and put me too close to the steering wheel. I once had a 75 single cab that the previous owner put some aftermarket bench seat in, it was pressed further back against the cab back, though there was a roll bar installed preventing the seat from being back all the way, it was a comfortable fit, not perfect, but I could drive it for longer than an hour and not suffer. I know its possible to make this work, a friend of mine is an inch shorter than me and 60 pounds heavier and he was able to drive his 74 K10- with a 4 speed to boot! Does anyone have any idea, photos, examples/builds I could trouble you for? I'd greatly appreciate it!

I have an 88 or 89 chevy (next body style) bench seat in mine on the stock 76 sliders. its got a bit less padding so it gave me some more room.

I'm 6'9 and have been looking for seat options for my 84 K10 too.

I did something similar...A 94 bench seat, on cut down OG '78 brackets, bolted directly to the seat frame. The 94 seat is thinner, so I don't have to have the seat all the way back. I found out the 94 seat is narrower side to side the original square body bench, so I offset mine to the driver side a little.

I have 04 chevy buckets in mine, love them. I welded my own brackets with 1 X 1 square tube. Had to toss all the sliders and heaters. to high with that in.
