Oil dipstick tube question.
I picked up a new Oil dipstick tube from GM dealership today.
The old one was broken at the at the small bracket that holds it in place. My question is: Do I need a rubber grommet or O' Ring where it slides into the block? It has a lot of play "wiggle" and The reason for replacing old one is because oil has been spewing out from where it inserts into block! The old one didnt have any O ring when removed and New one didnt come with one

Part Num/description : 14055169 Tub ASM 1.516 For $21.08
on mine it is on the Passanger side. The guy at the counter didnt ask me about what side it was on though. Does it differ in size?

Thanks for the info.
Mine's an 010 block with the tube on the left, BTW. Last edited by 72lb4x4; 12-10-2011 at 12:43 AM. |
