Man, that looks like a great deal to me. I guess you know how expensive it is to get a truck to that point?

Re: Found this for sale near my house

It does come with a pool lol. It seems like a smokin' deal as I add up the costs on the upgrades on my list. I will be much deeper into my truck than the asking price of this one...

Unless there's a lot of bondo, that's a great deal if it runs good!!!

Re: Found this for sale near my house

I'd get under it, inside it, open the hood and see what things look like. I've seen vehicles that looked real nice until I saw the spray foam used to fill gaps so mud could be slathered on.

Does the paint match under the hood, under the truck and inside the cab?
Is the rubber around the windows and doors new, or old and cracking?
Why does the bed hold water?

Re: Found this for sale near my house

I had more $$$ than that in mine when I sold it, & my interior, wiring, & bed floor still needed to be done.

I agree with the above ------- check close for rust / bondo / quickie patch jobs & especially the sun visor above the top of the windshield & the underhood cowl areas; those area's are easy to overlook.

If all good, better jump on it !!! Turn key & do a big grin driving away.

Re: Found this for sale near my house

Looks nice, I'd look at the underside, engine compt, drive it.

I was expecting nothing like that, just reading the thread title. Goofballs asking $5000.00for a project starter, this one looks like it's all finished.

The price would be out of my budget, but it's all relative to what you can afford. You only live once.
I don't care for step sides, but like this one.

Re: Found this for sale near my house

I did a quick look at it. It is pretty much finished as far as I could tell. I slowly walked away and went back to my project... I would love to buy it but I am already upside down in the project I have going I am sure so I will dig deeper and do it all the way I want it done. I would already want wheels and paint on that truck as well as the fact the tank is still in the cab it appears. Still a sweet deal just not enough funds for two.

Maybe you should ask Santa Claus for it.

It does look nice from the pictures provided and does seem like a really good deal for someone. Sorry it looks like it won't be for you or me.

Re: Found this for sale near my house

Okay so I talked to this guy and looked it over again... It is 90% done... Needs some knobs but it also has a brake problem of some sort. He mentioned he had the tranny serviced and it is okay but he thinks it needs a new one in the near future. It has small rust spots on underside and has kick panels cut out inside truck... What say you guys at $5k cash? Rollin' down the road?

$5k won't get you very far on a frame off restoration, even if you do 100% of the work and go the cheapest deal on most of your parts...ask me how I know
