64 parking light re-wire
Hey fellas,
I want to re-wire my parking lights so they work with my turn signals. I've seen a how-to here somewhere but can't seem to track it down... Can anyone help? Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 64 parking light re-wire
I'm confused by your question. Do you more than one set of parking lights? The factory lamps in the hood should already work like turn signals. The only issue most owners have with them (other than bad ground or wiring issues) is the parking lights go off when the headlights are turned on as engineered by the factory.

Re: 64 parking light re-wire
as markeb01 suggests, you have a problem with your wiring, cause your park lamps SHOULD be also functioning turn signals. now you get to track down electrical circuit problems
I take it that your turn signals are working at the rear lights?

Re: 64 parking light re-wire
Oh okay, this makes sense. After looking at the harness and trackin wires down, I was wondering if this could be the case.
My tail lights DO work. So maybe I should look at adding a ground somewhere in the hood. Ok,ok,ok... Back to work. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 64 parking light re-wire
Also check to see that both filaments in each bulb are working, and that there are actually dual filament bulbs in the sockets. Dielectric grease in the sockets is usually very helpful along with individual ground wires attached to the housings. Good luck.
