Re: truck engine master 72 and 73 ?? confussed

They are not the original truck engines. They are car engines. A truck engine starting in 70 had a T as the first letter in the suffix.

Re: truck engine master 72 and 73 ?? confussed

were the 72 and 73 chevy engines bad in the 1 ton trucks ? cause the motorhome sat in a park for 25 years and only had 54,000 km on it thats what makes no sense to

Re: truck engine master 72 and 73 ?? confussed

Holy schitt, it must be the lunar eclipse, because the Grumpster is wrong!

C does not equal car, and niether T for truck. IE:
CGR = 1970 400 MT 265 hp full size truck
TCHC = 1978 350 Camaro / Lemans
GM used almost every letter in the alphabet. My resource shows CMJ as being a 1974 T400 Police, or a 1980 305 AT Camaro. FWIW

i got this post from another site so it might be possible the van engines could start with the cmj then and the suffix codes wernt recorded or kept for the vans

Re: truck engine master 72 and 73 ?? confussed

It's a motorhome. Some sit more than they are driven.

There is nothing wrong with 72 and 73 GM 350's. The heads were beefier as well.

Engine section of the site has a lot of traffic. No need to double post.

So are those the actual suffix codes for your engines?
