aluminum wheel question

So a buddy of mine give a set of eagle dually wheels today. The problem is that he had them chromed and someone did a crappy job. Most of the chrome has come off of them, but it has left some of the copper in places that doesnt want to come off.
My question is what do you guys think about having them blasted and powder coated silver and before anyone says it i dont do body colored wheels.

Here's a pic of one of the front wheels, the fronts look good the rears not so good.

Tell me what you think.

Re: aluminum wheel question

Silver or black pc would look great, and would be maintenence free as opposed to polished aluminum.

Re: aluminum wheel question

I think i will put one in the blasting cabniet at work and test a spot on the back and see what it looks like after blasting.
I'm worried about the blaster taking to much material off.

Re: aluminum wheel question

there's a powder coat color they call crome but actualy look's like polish'd aluminum, I think it will be exspencive but concider'n the what ya paid for the wheel's defenintly worth it.
