late 70's 3/4 ton 14 bolt?
Will i have to shorten it to get it to fit my 71 K5? I know I'll have to replace the mounting brackets, but I found this set of 3/4 ton axles for about 300. I want to upgrade at some point but didn't know if these would work or would be worth it?

Re: late 70's 3/4 ton 14 bolt?
No need to shorten. Re-locate spring perches and shock mounts. I swapped in a semi-float and moved the mounts but used the shock mounts off an old 12 bolt, I liked them better than the later style. I built a jig out of angle iron to get the mounts on at same pinion angle and the shocks in the right place.
