brought the front end down

I posted last week about picking up my new 72 chevy swb. The previous owner dropped the front end with western drop spindles and left the factory springs on. He dropped the rear with mcgaughy springs. I was going to order a set of ECE springs for the front and rear, but I'm leaving for afghanistan here very shortly and I just found out my wife and I are expecting a little one. So for now I decided to cut one coil in the front springs. I will be ordering springs later when I get home. It was just bugging me to look at how the truck sat before.

Did it change the ride? How close are you to the bump stops? God bless you and your family. Thank you .

Re: brought the front end down

Thus far the ride does not seem affected at all. I didn't measure the clearance on the bump stops but there is plenty of room.

to get the most life out of your tires get an alignment or tires will wear unevenly
