I'd sale you one if I had your style. I have the 67-72 style. Those were made by several companies with GMs being the most common. I imagine there's be plenty out there for sell.

Try looking around MV sites and fleabay for one off a CUCV. They are a good brush guard as long as you aren't planning on knocking over trees.

Those "military" ones are actually off the shelf GM accessories. Not that you'll find one on the shelf any more. They are commonly referred to as grille guards.

The kind on the military truck above I've always called a brush guard or grille guard..the kind Special-K showed in the Google ad we called a push bar..Very popular around here in the late 70s and 80s. I've been looking for one myself for a 67 to 72 but all I find are for the later trucks.

I still have the Jackman products grille/push guard I bought in the early 70's,(it's in the back garage somewhere!). It served me well on many of my GM light trucks/suburbans. Even carried the spare tire sometimes.

Yeah,no reason one wouldn't last through several trucks. They were all over the place,especially for 73 and newer GMs. It's hard to imagine one would be hard to find,but I guess I haven't seen one for a while. I made one for my '69 Power Wagon that I also made a 4"pipe bumper for. I used 3/8" plate and 2 1/2" tube for a little more stout than store bought. I also made it shorter,to the grille center bar I welded hooks on and light tabs,too. Here's a picture of my old '72 Blazer with one. As I recall,they called the extensions brush guards. Heck,I forgot more than I know! I still have one on my SWB. It's kinda funky. I always planned to trim down the sides so they didn't stick up so far and round them off:

I think the biggest issue in finding them is that over the years people have cut them up and modified them to fit other vehicles I know I have done it a couple of times

Just cut the profile of your bumper into it and weld tabs to work with bumper bolts/frame. Why not make one or have one made? If you can find a junk bumper,cut it and scribe the profile. Or,find some bumper guards and scribe them. There's also a tool for carpentry that copies profiles using pins stuck between two plates. I think you can find one if you keep looking.

Coop..No I probably would never push anything with it..more for just nostalgia sake..in fact it would probably end up hanging on the wall mounted to a bumper! I tend to like the 70s 80s trends but when it comes down to it its really hard to put something on one of these trucks that obstructs from those clean classic grilles.

Tim, Thnaks for the offer but yeah shipping a hunk of steel that size would cost a bit! Ill wander across one some day!
