new style radiator

I put a vortec engine from a 2007 GMC pickup in my 56 cameo and would like to use a radiator from a similar donor vehicle ( newer style GM). With both outlets on the right side and a fan and shroud attached would save a lot. Any ideas?

I'm using one from a 99 Camero with my 5.3L and its electric fan assembly.

Here some photos of one I saw at a show. I'm not sure why he made a custom hose when a factory one would work great, it runs above the fans to the left side. Looking at the picture now I see why, his Corvette outlet faces forward. The truck engine will work with the truck hose.

One mod to the lower rad support bracket is to cut off the inner gussets so the rad fits flush and fab a lower mount for the rubber cushions . Love the simplicity of the upper mount.

GREAT pictures! Right after I posted my question I called the junkyard where I got the engine and he told me pretty much what you did. He only cautioned me that if you hook the fan up to the computer wrong it will constantly drain the battery. I guess thats for guys who put them in drag cars and call for the fan to run all the time unless you throw a switch. That setup would look much nicer with the stock hose.

Glad to help. The pic's are from a pro built I saw at the Oroville,CA car show a few years ago. I talked to the builder about its ability to cool with air on a 100+ degree day and he said no problem even sitting still.
