Building another School Bus
Starting another project. I don't know what you would call it--It is starting life as a 1963, installing a 1952 nose on it from a "White" brand school bus, and putting the whole thing on a 1988 Chev extended cab dually w/454, turbo 400.

Re: Building another School Bus
Cool, either you have really GOOD subconscious memorys of time spent on a school bus, or really BAD ones that are compelling you to build the perfect happy bus....

Re: Building another School Bus
That is sick. I guess riding a short bus can be cool sometimes.

Re: Building another School Bus
I hated riding the bus in school, but if it was something like ^^^^^^ I would have loved riding the bus.

Getting going again. Body is mocked up on new chassis. Obviously need to move the fender towards the engine--just couldn't wait to see it!!

Re: Building another School Bus
I always liked the looks of those old Whites. Looks like the same front clip as a White Mustang tractor.

Re: Building another School Bus
I like the White better than the 63 nose. It will look like it is way older. I probably won't use the "Super White Power" logo . . . Not exactly P.C.

Re: Building another School Bus
This is the truck that gave it's life for the bus . . . A 99 extended cab dually. Wheelbase is almost identical. The two-window I built a few years ago I put a standard cab 78 dually and had to lengthen the frame 5 inches. |

Body is fitted on the freshly painted frame, front sheet metal is undercoated and should be installed by the end of the week. Hoping to have it drivable in the next couple of weeks. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Building another School Bus
Gotta watch this come together. I'll have to drop back into school just to ride this bus.
