WTB 250 or 292

I know there is another thread titled the same thing but I didnt want to jack his buy. and since he's on the west coast and im on the east coast I thought it was ok. I need a good running inline and I have all the parts I really just need the long block but I would also like to have a running one. If any of you guys have anything laying around from a sbc swap or something similar please let me know.

Are you hoping for something local? I have a couple but the're in Rhode Island. It might be possible to get one as far as Front Royal Virginia in a few weeks.

Re: WTB 250 or 292

Just had to say "your not jacking my buy" I found one I plan to buy right after the holidays. That's what makes this site so cool. Good luck.

Re: WTB 250 or 292

I've looked at all the cl ads. I feel 700 is way too high and the others don't look to be in operating condition or have integrated heads. I would like to buy from a board member so I know it's legitimate and I also want a running one.
I would possibly pay for shipping if it's a good motor.
Thanks for all the responses

Jaybird, what do you have? A 250 or a 292? What kind of shape is it in?

Re: WTB 250 or 292

It's a late 70's 250 I think with the integrated head. came with my project don't want it. have a 327 to go in. Honestly I know nothing about it but there is no starter or alternator and the carb is probably shot. nothings leaking out of it though.

No power steering but it is in the so you can hear it run. From the pics you can see that it has a smog pump. Been on CL for a while now so I wonder if there is something wrong with it.

It's the integrated head so it's not too desirable. Believe me if it was a 73 or older I'd be all over it

C10, see if you can get pics of the 76 Nova engine, in West Charlotte.... When I looked at the listing it didn't have pics.

I have a 250 out of a 71 Chevelle. 70K original miles. Have the glide that was with it too. Know where it has been all its life and I owned the car a few years ago. Im in Maryland if you want to come this far. Has power steering too but no pump.
