Re: 71 gmc grill?

I paid for one at Southern Kentucky and they ordered it and it never came in. I had to go get my money back. If you find a quality grille from vendor lmk and I would be interested in buying one also. Good Luck!

Re: 71 gmc grill?

I plan in having my originals rechromed because both of mine are very nice, never used a repo gmc grille but would be interested in knowing what kind of quality they are.

Re: 71 gmc grill?

I have never looked at a repro GMC.
With that being said, I have heard over and over that the repros suck.
Rechroming one will cost you much more though.

Angry Re: 71 gmc grill?

Had the top bar, grille, and eyebrows rechromed back before you could buy repops. Set me back about $1,000.00.

Re: 71 gmc grill?

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking all the reproductions are made by one company. What's the best way to go? OEM. Finding a straight original with perfect chrome is best and likely cheapest. Also hardest. Re-chroming OEM is easier, most expensive, and best as well.

Re: 71 gmc grill?

I couldn't find it, But there's a thread on here about chrome shop in Tx. that straightened and rechromed a bumper. The work looked to be of good quality and the price was right.
