Rear Bumper

Well. after a year of searching i finally found a nice rear bumper. I readdy did not want to buy a cheap China made bumper so i kept hunting and got this one and beat on it till its straight and painted it. But now I call all over looking for Brackets to mount it...none to be found.

so i called around looking for china made but most catalog out fits are sold out. or $100.00 maybe I'm cheap but REALLY $100.00 just for Brackets?

I'm hoping I will find a set online used so I can mount this....

I like it.

Re: Rear Bumper

Good work on finding an original rear bumper like that, I caved and bought a repop..definitely not as heavy as the front bumper but good enough. I was baffled by the price of brackets too. Brothers has them for $70,http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodinfo.asp?number=BRKT366 mount up good. Probably the same brackets everyone sells though. If you're going from a old step bumper you might also need a license plate mount/light too:

Re: Rear Bumper

Thanks Dracko....Maybe I'm a cheap skate....but $87.50 with shipping?..

I really might have to bite that bullet and buy China made crap., but for some reason i have found supporting more American products a necessity.

Maybe a board member will have one hidden....sometimes "The Search" can be half the fun in building theses old trucks.

Re: Rear Bumper

Wish you lived closer, I have a bumper you could have. Unfortunately I had to cut the brackets to get it off.

I hope you can find some brackets. The bumper looks great but you're going to have a hard time dragging that bucket around behind you.

Re: Rear Bumper

If you used a little bigger bucket, you could say that it's tubbed! I agree though, with a little patience, the "hunt" for those brackets could prove more rewarding than buying the china stuff. Happy hunting!

Re: Rear Bumper

Bumper looks great! I need to replace my utility bumper eventually. How hard would it be to fab some up?
