Re: power steering pump bracket puzzle
It ties in with the A/C bkt. Without the A/C I think you'll either need a non A/C P/S bkt or do some fabricating. I think, maybe someone else can help or I can look at mine when I get home.

Re: power steering pump bracket puzzle
The 2 holes on the left side of the pump in front of the header tube slide in front of and in back of a hole in the water pump. That's the hole on the left side of the pic in the water pump.
The bracket on the left of pic 3 looks like you can turn it so the square nut can be bolted to the elongated adjustment hole in the other bracket on the PS pump. The hole below the square nut will have the front header bolt go through it. You'll probably need a 1" spacer tube and a 2" or so bolt since you now have headers. Re: power steering pump bracket puzzle
Are you able to figure out where the pump should be located by looking at the red line in the pic?

Re: power steering pump bracket puzzle
upon closer inspection, you seem to have everything. the red line a few posts up goes into the water pump and that's the pivot point for tensioning. The other two pieces are like a puzzle to secure on the header/body of the pump with the sliding capability for tensioning. Just look closely at the pictue and you'll figure it out.

200672716750 into ebay search box. If you don't have it, you most probably need it. I agree you may already have it but need to mount the small one at an angle so that it fits header. I think that is a double bolt and nut, or it is on mine anyway. |

Take the pump out of the equation for he moment. The bracket mounts on water pump and head. Once that lines up, then introduce the power steering pump where the pulley is aligned facing forward and lined up with belt. Once that is done, you will see that you need yet one more small piece that bolts to exhaust. Look at my pic posted, you will see it there. |

Look at my post above. Safely remove the puppy from harms way. Take only the bracket and line it up to the head as posted previously. Once that is done, with the cap on and pump facing up, manuever it until holes line up. It should not be a mystery at that point. You are going to have to remove the top bolt on water pump. It shares the location with power steering mount. Last edited by patrickth; 02-01-2012 at 09:24 PM. Reason: more input. |
