Craigslist Score!

I needed it like a hole in my head, but I scored an 89 half ton 4x4 Chevy on Craigslist Sunday morning for $500.
It's not cherry, minor rot in the cab corners and over the wheelwells.Original paint, real good interior for the year.
Ad said it wouldn't idle,I barely got it on the trailer.Oil change, new fuel pump and filter, and a replaced brake line,I went on a 40 mile drive this evening and it never missed a beat, for a total investment of $670,including the fuel to go get it.
I have no idea what I'm going to use it for,but who can't use a $670 4x4,right?

Re: Craigslist Score!

I'll take a picture, but it's nothing special other than being relatively unmolested.
As far as plans for it,I'll probably give it to my dad for tooling around the farm. He's 72,has a bad heart and leg problems from diabetes, and wants a truck that he can get in and out of.Both of the other farm trucks are 3/4 and 1 tons, that set up too high for him to get in and out of.
I have a soft spot for these trucks,so hopefully we can get some use out of the old girl.
