Re: my projector retro fit!
in case your wondering, 4 silverstar silvanias on relays with brights on only equal the brightness of one of my 12000k projectors, and i will be switching to 4200k so they will be brighter,( they sent me wrong bulbs)
but needles to say halogen projectors with hid kits are so nice i dont think i will drive another vehicle without this retro fit!

Re: my projector retro fit!
youd actually get better light output of you used a smooth glass lens as opposed to the convoluted one.

Re: my projector retro fit!
the light output is the same with the lens there and not there, the cutoff may not be razor sharp with it there but these dont have a razor sharpcutoff anyways like the morimotos but they do have a very uniform and WIDE light output and going down the road my friends say its like a pair of beady eyes starrining at you

Re: my projector retro fit!
Forgot to post back with what the projectors are from. They are from a 1999 Lexus Is300 and are indeed 4in round. Was a tight fit but I got em in

Re: my projector retro fit!
Ive done a few retrofits with Valeo projectors mostly found in Audi and mercedes. They give you a nice blue cutoff. BiZenon ones are the best because then you get low and high beam. The cut off shield flips out of the way via a little electric motor for high beam. Bright as hell. Dont go anything higher than 5000k for bulbs. Stock is 4100-4300k. 5000k is dimmer and bluer. Anything higher than that looks silly and purple or flourescent blue.

Re: my projector retro fit!
I have 4500 and some 8000k, I only got the 8000k by accident but my supplier sent me the right ones and fixe the issue. Although I may go with the 8000. They weren't terribly blue on my setup and actually still brighter than all four of my hologens put together. Plus being in Washington and every little highs school kid has a Honda lower than my fender openings I think going a little dimmer is better than getting angry at them flashing me causing me to get angry and swerve in thier lane making them pee

Re: my projector retro fit!
Did you have to change anything else do run those projectors? Or did everything plug right in?

Re: my projector retro fit!
Just trimmed the headlight buckets for my massive projectors and ran blade connectors from ballast to the stock harness.im going to run relays soon though. I also had to move my battery back. Again because my projectors are massive.
These issues don't have to be dealt with with 90% of projectors Posted via Mobile Device

Re: my projector retro fit!
My friends like being in front whenever we travel at night. I light the road up ahead of them lol it doesn't bother them one bit because of the clean cutoff. Like I said Only the small Hondas that have are lowered and usually have unfocused hids seem to have an issue with mine

Re: my projector retro fit!
How much do you think you'll be asking for your HID kits? I'm pretty handy and can do it myself. But, it's sooooo much easier to just bolt them in.
Do you have any pictures of what you had to trim and how you mounted the projectors into the housing?

Re: my projector retro fit!
I'm going to use some quality h4 diamond cut lenses with 8k and 4k bulbs. The projector conversions will be a couple hundred though
