Got my new wiring harnesses today
My 80 truck started life as a 6 cylinder powered vehicle. Sometime in its life somebody swapped in a 307. Now I've got a 350 in there. But over 30 years of wear and tear on the harnesses under the hood (made for a straight six) have taken their toll. So I ordered a new engine harness and new forward lighting harness for the truck with a V8 in it. I used these guys for my 70 Chevelle resto-mod, and the harnesses fit like a glove. I'm looking forward to giving old Fred a new nervous sytem!

Re: Got my new wiring harnesses today
Yeah who and how much? I just went through American auto wire. They were cheaper than majority of the places out there and were very helpful. I'm just waiting to get mine in the mail now . Kinda nervous about replacing no.e because I've got no idea how to do the engine harness . Mine almost caught fire while I was working and the fire department came and cut my cable to the battery and thank got just the wires melted.

Re: Got my new wiring harnesses today
www.wiringharness.com is their web site. M&H Electric Fabricators is their company name. Seems like it was about 400 bucks for the forward lighting harness and the engine harness. Their stuff is exact replacement for stock. Very good quality.

Re: Got my new wiring harnesses today
I'm now looking at EZ..it's a lot cheaper. but missing connectors..and perhaps Im making to much of a deal about it..because the flat connectors are no problem
I've got these and the special pliers I'm talking about the big connectors for your instrument panel, heater etc. like this stuff*: how much trouble is it putting in these fellows.. *these pictures are just examples and do not represent actual connectors on my truck
