Who remembers the VIN from their first square body?
I sold my first truck 12 years ago and to this day I haven't forgotten the VIN.
CCY243Z136724. I just think it's funny when you deal with getting a truck back on the road that has sat forever and dealing with all of the DMV bull, that you eventually start to remember your VIN by heart.

Don't have the truck any more but I do still have the title, vin plate and the RPO sticker from the glove box stashed away here. 1974 heavy half camper special C10 454/TH400 W/3:07 gears.

Re: Who remembers the VIN from their first square body?
I don't have the vin of my first square memorized, but 11 squares later I still have that one. Does that count?

Re: Who remembers the VIN from their first square body?
My '78 Chevy K20 Silverado VIN is CKL248Z139248
I sold that truck ten years ago and still have it memorized...Now that VINs have 17 digits, it's harder, but everytime I go to the dealer for parts on the TrailblazerSS, they are amazed I have that one memorized too...1GNET13H562335585 I have not memorized any other of my Square body trucks or my old 2003 Honda Accord... CCL 4471123669 . 1977 short bed with heavy duty suspension. It was my high school truck in 1987-89 and the reason I like these trucks to this day.

Re: Who remembers the VIN from their first square body?
I've had one square and one square only. It turned 34 years old yesterday (12/24). But, I have to admit, do not have the VIN committed to memory.

Re: Who remembers the VIN from their first square body?
my first square was a 1936 Chevy. i paid 50 bucks .. and drove it home.. that was 1963, i do not think it had a vin.. if it did i did not need it,, i do remember my service number that i haven't needed since the early 70's... the farmer that i bought her from offered to spread the cost over a few pay days.. i didn't need that option, i was working for him at 75 cents an hour.. almost rich.. i miss old man smith at times, his only son died during ww2..
