Re: clicking noise sounds like transfer case
Nothing more than a stab in the dark, without being able to hear it.... maybe a u-joint going bad?

I am with stocker, try the ujoints first, the usual culprit.

Re: clicking noise sounds like transfer case
I must say though that I have heard noise from a 208 transfercase that my buddy had problems with when we were out 4 wheeling that sounde very simular and was the chain in the t.case slapping around, put it up on stands and run it. maybe the new ujoints aren't as good as you think, like a needle fell out when installing. Grease them and see if that helps temperarily, got to locate the sound somehow. Start crawling under the truck and checking all you can.

Re: clicking noise sounds like transfer case
Sometimes flexplates crack arouund the crankshaft and the noise is hard to detect unless you pull the flexplate to look at it. Just remember that as a last resort. Sometimes this sounds like an engine knock.

Re: clicking noise sounds like transfer case
Likely the thrush bearing in the T-Case is worn. Happened to me. Does the T-Case have a part time conversion kit in it?

Re: clicking noise sounds like transfer case
Convertor usually only rattles when the convertor isn't shimmed back far enough into the front pump or is shot, but could just be the front pump if it has worked well for some time. So ya trans rebuild.
